Who can use this website?

This website is designed to facilitate graduate student education at the following universities that comprise the American Indian Studies Graduate Student Consortium: University of Chicago, University of Illinois-Chicago, University of Iowa, University of Michigan, Northwestern University, Pennsylvania State University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Purdue University, Ohio State University, and Michigan State University.  As such, only graduate students, faculty, and alumni from these member schools will be able to access the social network, reading groups, and podcast, while other aspects such as announcements will be public.

How can I gain access to the site and the consortium?

Universities, colleges and programs can gain access to both the consortium and the website for a yearly fee.  Moreover, if your university, college, or program would like access to the website only, then accommodations can be made.   Inquiries should be directed to aisgsc@gmail.com.

How do I sign up for social networking?

Any one from the AISGSC member schools that are involved in pursuits related to American Indian Studies can sign up for the social networking mechanisms of this website.  If you are a member of the consortium, and would like to take part, email us at aisgsc@gmail.com.  We will send you a link so that you can sign up.  The link will open into a new window.  Fill in the information, submit, and you should receive a confirmation email shortly there after.

I have an event I’d like to post – who do I contact?

Announcements, events, activities, and etc. should be sent to aisgsc@gmail.com.  However, publication is subject to our approval.

I have a blog that I’d like to enroll – who I contact?

Blog, websites, and interesting links related to American Indian Studies can be emailed to aisgsc@gmail.com.  However, publication is subject to our approval.  Moreover, if you find one of our blogs offensive, or somehow problematic, please email us at aisgsc@gmail.com.  Upon the complaint, we will take the blog down, refer it to our faculty committee, and they will consider the issue and resolve it accordingly.

How do I get involved?

If you have an interesting idea on how to make the website better, a reading group proposal, or an idea about a podcast, event, or etc., we would be happy to have your participation and input.  Please email us aisgsc@gmail.com, and we’ll contact you as soon as possible.
